World's Sexiest Accent Revealed

As per the Babbel platform's new survey, Italian has been named the "most sexy" and "most romantic" accent in the world.

As per Babble's study, over 6,000 people from the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the US, rated the Italian accent as the sexiest accent.

French, which was crowned the sexiest accent in a 2017 study with 15,000 votes, has been dethroned by Italian accent.

According to Babbel language teacher Noël Wolf, “The rise and fall of pitch in spoken Italian can create a musical quality, which some people find alluring and attractive."

British English was found to be the “most polite”, while German won the top spot for “most direct” language in the survey.
